Letting Go of fear
Music theory is magic - and boring
Where will your music take you?

Music reminds me of a campfire. It must be my Northern Ontario upbringing.

A campfire provides warmth and light, comfort and something to focus on, without demanding that it become the centre of attention. It can spark a conversation, bring people together, or simply give your mind time to wander. You can sit beside it in silence, listen to the crackle of the fire, watch the flames change, and let your thoughts drift.

Music can do the same. It doesn't always need to be the focus. Sometimes it is simply there, creating warmth, comfort, and connection. It can change with the moment, responding to the people and the space around it. It is never in a hurry, and it is always changing—just like a campfire.
